it truly pays to not be so confined to your mind.

to show up as your authentic self.

to operate from a place of freedom in life… in love… in romance.

to connect with someone authentically with no rules, no obligations, no expectations.

to give your all in life and accept who you are, whether other people accept you or not.

it’s beautiful. it’s an art. it’s a skill.

to be yourself with yourself and with others.

it’s priceless.

*i recently came across a few clips of a powerful interview between Keke Palmer and Jenifer Lewis on social media. along with Eartha Kitt and a few others, Jenifer Lewis is someone i admire on a spiritual level. her wisdom, charisma, talent, confidence, and freedom is so inspirational. often times when i see videos of her, i feel like i’m looking at my future self. as i continue to become more of myself, it’s women like Jenifer who assure me that i’m on the right path.

the above message came to me after watching one of the snippets and i immediately opened my notes app and let the message pour. my fellow writers know what i’m talking about. when the message comes, you have to quickly grab whatever you can to jot the message down before it fades away!

anyway, i hope this message inspires you to continue living, loving and showing up as your authentic self. with all the societal conditioning we receive from early years to adult, it can be challenging to show up as who you are versus who your family, culture, society, etc. want’s you to be. always choose yourself in any situation or circumstance and never forget that your life is worth living.
