Admirable Aspirations of Analise

Daily writing prompt
What is something others do that sparks your admiration?

Why darling, I’m glad you asked.

Besides myself and my matriarchal lineage, there’s a particular type of woman whom I admire.

I admire the woman who puts herself first in any and every situation. The woman who always puts her best foot forward. The woman who looks her best when she steps foot out of her front door.

I admire the woman who surrounds herself with what brings her joy. The woman who lights up whatever room she walks in. Not by being the loudest, most popular or most seen, but by being the most authentic version of herself. Poised, alluring, enchanting. A woman who attracts, but never chase.

I admire the woman who sets her standards, never selling herself short, and making others do the same, every time, no matter what.

I admire the woman who feeds her brain. Knowledge and intellect are of utmost importance to her. Class is of utmost importance. Substance is of utmost importance.

That’s who I admire. That’s what I admire. I’ve shared my response. Now it’s your turn to do the same.

Tell me, my love, what’s your source of admiration?

If my words have lingered with you, or you feel compelled to leave a note—or a rose of appreciation—you may reach me here.

Thank you for reading, and for crossing into the world of Analise Devereaux.

  1. Okay, but does she not want her face to be seen?

      1. Yes, I thought about leaving her face to the imagination, but why the mirror? Is she merely looking for her own appeasement or is she getting herself ready for public viewing? I know these questions don’t seem relevant. However, they did cross my mind . . .
