You were right.
I am better than you.
I look better.
Dress better.
Think better.
Speak better.
And hold myself to a higher standard than you.
I’ve always owned it.
I wanted you to own it too.
But unfortunately,
You just didn’t have it in you.
When I look in the mirror,
I see beauty and femininity.
Elegance,
Confidence,
Love and Divinity.
When you look in the mirror,
You see none of the things I see.
So you project your hatred
And insecurity onto me.
Fortunately there’s forgiveness.
Compassion and empathy.
I show grace to you.
As your inner wounds have nothing
To do with me.
It’s not in you to be a Diva.
Not every woman can be.
But darling,
It always has
And always will
Live deep inside of me.
Unapologetically yours,
Analise
If my words have lingered with you, or you feel compelled to leave a note—or a rose of appreciation—you may reach me here.
